It turns out that Lauren Hall from MAFS Australia is a total she-EO, and runs a very niche but seemingly successful gifts business? Here’s a deep dive into what Lauren’s job actually is, and what she does all day when she’s not causing chaos on MAFS.

Lauren runs a gift company

Lauren Hall from MAFS’s business is called Mayfair Lane Gifts. The website says their “primary objective is to provide our clients with exceptional client gifts and corporate branded merchandise that serve as an extension of their brand”. What that means translated from LinkedInese into English is that when big companies want to send out gift boxes to clients and can’t be bothered to do it themselves, they pay Lauren’s company to sort it for them.

Lauren lives in Queensland, and her business is based in Brisbane. But they ship all over Australia! *Jazz hands*.

You can pay hundreds of pounds for a box with biscuits in

The most expensive gift box on offer is the Single Party Box Extra Large, at a whopping $259.00 AUD. For that amount of money, you get some plain shortbread biscuits, a little packet of chocolates, three cans of lager, five mini bottles of spirits, and a fragrance diffuser.

At the other end of the scale, the absolute cheapest box is still $89.00 AUD.  It’s called the Single Home Rejuvenate. Maybe they only thing people not in relationships use soap???? It’s unclear. For the price $89.00 AUD, you get two things of soap, two packets of biscuits, and a bottle of sparkling wine.

The company will also print a company’s name onto a large candle for $139.00 AUD, or a roll of 25mm wide ribbon for a huge $239.00 AUD.
