Inside the MAFS Australia groom Eliot Donovan’s red flag-riddled life

Eliot Donovan has already, er, made quite the impression on MAFS Australia. He’s definitely not lacking in confidence, shall we say. Here’s a look inside his life, and what he gets up when he’s not offending women on internationally-broadcast television.

Eliot is from the Gold Coast

I swear literally every MAFS Australia contestant is from the Gold Coast? Eliot also hails from this part of Queensland.

Eliot from MAFS Australia has, like, a gazillion business side hustles

Like his MAFS Australia bride Lauren, Eliot is a business owner. He’s a draftsman who started several renovation projects in Australia. Eliot also runs tourism companies in Sri Lanka?

He goes outside sometimes and wants everyone to know about it

Eliot does have a public Instagram – although he only has 7,000 followers despite being on TV in several countries right now. His page mostly consists of him wandering around outside with little clothing on. Maybe he thinks of himself as some kind of Australian outback action man?

There are pics of him riding on a motorbike at sunset with his dog, wading into a pond while holding the dog for no clear reason, getting out a pond in slow motion, driving a lawn-mower (while not cutting any grass?) bending over a campfire he may or may not have lit, and shuffling about next to a beach in Sri Lanka. I am not making this up.

There are no pics of him with any friends or family members (but someone must have helped film him strutting about through fields?).

Erm, so Eliot complains on the show one of his “non-negotiables” is that his wife has to be under 30. He himself is 35 years old. He likes to be a traditional (read: patriarchal) provider figure for “feminine” women. *Gags internally*.

He also told the Daily Mail Australia that he likes not attracted to women unless they look natural or untouched or whatever. Apparently he didn’t like Lauren’s jokes about cosmetic surgery? He said: “After a round of tennis Lauren bragged that she doesn’t like exercising, she’d rather just pay for the BBL. And that was a huge one for me, that whole attitude. Nothing against cosmetic surgery, it’s more just not something that I’m attracted to.”

To be fair, Lauren also has a strict list of how she wants her husband to be, seemingly so she can live out her somewhat strange 1920s trad wife fantasies (???).

His dog is super cute, though

Definitely the best thing about Eliot seems to be his dog. Apparently Eliot never particularly wanted a dog. Olive was a stray who someone brought into his work three years ago. The dog really attached herself to Eliot, so he kept her. That’s genuinely so wholesome.
