Ben’s friend responds after people accuse him of ‘hiring paid actors’ for Love Is Blind

People are convinced they weren’t his real pals

We’ve got to the stage of Love Is Blind where they meet their friends and people think something isn’t adding up with Ben’s friendship group.

A theory is circling social media that Ben hired a diverse group of fake actor pals for the show to make him seem like a better person.

People think the whole scene felt really staged, and the three friends who appeared on the show were all of different nationalities.

However, one of the on-screen friends, a woman called Lana, has now come out and confirmed that she really is mates with the cast member in real life.

“Not a DEI hired friend!” she wrote on TikTok alongside a series of photos of her and Ben together that prove they are good pals, and have been for a long time.

“Time & date stamps to prove my friendship with @Ben Mezzenga,” she added. “If only I was a paid actor!”

In the comments, someone asked if she has ever had “hard conversations about politics” with Ben, because that keeps coming up a lot in the show.

“Definitely have before AND after filming of this, because as a woman and POC, politics are very important to me,” she responded.

She’s not the only person who’s defended Ben on TikTok over the fake friends drama either. People from Minneapolis are coming out in full force!

“As someone who lives in Minneapolis and are friends with Abe and Lana, those are his real friends…this is mean,” one guy commented on a TikTok about the accusations.

Another said: “I am from Minneapolis and I’ve met one of Ben’s friends shown here. This is his real friend group.”

“I know Ben and have met some of these people in real life?? Why are people so quick to assume???” someone else added.

So, Ben didn’t hire three paid actors to play his friends in episode nine and he really does just have a very diverse friendship group.

That’s not the only diversity drama to hit Love Is Blind this season either. The creator has also clapped back at criticism that the show has the whitest cast ever.
