Two-timing and cringey jokes: All of David from Love Is Blind’s glaringly obvious red flags

‘Oh, so you’re no longer attractive’

There’s always a token villain in Love Is Blind, and he usually gets a hefty bit of screen time. First it was Clay, then it was Leo, and now it’s indisputably David. Being a villain can be fun, but you’ve got to well and truly earn that title. From his two-timing behaviour to his cringey jokes, here’s all David from Love Is Blind’s red flags, and why he’s our show villain this season.

*That* joke about being over 30

via Netflix

In the pods, one of the first things we heard David say was that being over 30 meant you were “no longer attractive.” Yes, it was intended to be a joke but it really didn’t come off that way, especially to somebody you’ve just met and are trying to date. That’s something you’d say post-marriage, if at all tbh.

Him saying that because he’s an aesthetician he knows when women start to get ugly

David told Netflix he was used to being around “too much Botox” as he works in plastic surgery, but now is looking for something *different* in a woman. So basically, even though he profits off of an industry built on women’s insecurities he now doesn’t want that in his future wife. I’m so glad there’s an expert in the house!

However, since having a peek on David’s LinkedIn, it looks like he may have left the medical sales position he was in on the show. He’s been working as a Account Executive at a legal company since August of last year, well after the show was filmed. A change of heart perhaps?

Getting involved in a two-timing debacle

Yes, we can’t hate the players instead of the game, but it was hard to watch David basically two-time Molly and Lauren. The show is about exploring connections but it all got too much when his name was brought up in the women’s living quarters. It was hard to watch and I’m sure a lot of women have been there!

Saying Lauren wasn’t his type because she was a teacher

In episode three, David said he wouldn’t usually go for a woman like Lauren because it was “kind of nerdy” being a teacher.

“She’s not the type of person I’d go for right away. I haven’t really gone for a teacher before,” he said.

Ouch, is it really that bad to be a teacher?
