A whole year on, Love Is Blind’s Sam exposes love letter Nicole wrote before she chose Benaiah

Love Is Blind UK was a messy rollercoaster, but there was one man who played the catalyst, whether he liked it or not. Back in August 2024, Sam was the ultimate villain of reality TV for having connections with both Jasmine and Nicole in the pods. Both girls went on to get married (and are still married to this day), and Sam looked pretty lonesome at the end of it all. However, in an exclusive interview with The Tab, Sam told us a very different side of the Love Is Blind UK story that didn’t make the cut about a certain love letter Nicole wrote him.

Sam explained that Nicole’s love letter to Sam came after a week of dating in the pods.

“One thing that was never shown was the love letter that Nicole wrote me. She wrote it to say her love towards me after a week of dating, and that is what actually started to swing my decision,” he said.

He also told The Tab that he “started crying” when she read the letter because it was “totally from the heart.”

Why wasn’t it shown on TV?

Sam actually expressed frustration that he felt every move of his was shown, which cast him in a different light from his fellow contestants.

When I asked him if he felt there was anything he did that wasn’t shown on the show, he explained that he “felt like they actually showed all those moments for me.”

“All my moments were included in the edit – everything that would have been behind-the-scenes moments,” he said.

Sam said he hasn’t heard from Nicole or Benaiah, who are still happily married, since the reunion. However, he once sent an olive branch to the cast but wasn’t met with a response.

If you’re following Sam on Instagram, you might recall seeing a hilarious image of his birthday cake with Benaiah’s face on it. He explained that his best friend had made it for him as a joke, although none of the Love Is Blind UK cast seemed to find it funny.

“He surprised me with the birthday cake, and I posted it not to get reactions from people. I thought Nic and Ben might reach out and say that’s really cool, but I didn’t know if they’d see it. They didn’t say anything. I thought other members of the cast might see the cake and reach out.

“I haven’t spoken to them since the reunion. No contact at all. We don’t follow each other, but I wish them the best. But, it would have been nice if a few things weren’t said,” he said.
