For love nor money: All the Love Is Blind stars who admitted to going on the show for fame
There’s a HEFTY list
Love Is Blind is probably the most famous reality TV show to ever come out of Netflix, and don’t its contestants know it! Since it began in 2020, Love Is Blind has been entertaining people at home while singles from all around the world get matched without seeing what the other person looks like. It’s the perfect recipe for love, chaos, and most of all: FAME. Basically everyone from Love Is Blind now has a large social media following thanks to their presence on the show. While it’s just the way things go most of the time, a lot of contestants have openly admitted or had people confirm that they only went on the show to find fame, not a life partner. Here’s a rundown of all the Love Is Blind starts who admitted to going on the show for fame alone.
Nick Dorka from season seven
Nick really rocked the boat at the Love Is Blind season seven reunion when his ex Hannah exposed his dream to be “the most famous person on Love Is Blind.” She claimed she’d found a diary of his dated before the show that read out three goals, one of which was to take the crown as the most recognisable name from Love Is Blind.
Hannah even posted the evidence onto her story to back it up!
Hanni from Love Is Blind Germany

Hanni from Love Is Blind Germany already had a pretty hefty following on Instagram and TikTok before she went on the show, so fame wasn’t essential for her. However, she’s managed to multiply her followers drastically while being on the show, that’s for sure.
At the reunion, she explained why she said no to Daniel at the altar, and got into detail about the weird love triangle drama with Ilias. However, Ilias’s ex-girlfriend came forward to defend Hanni for going on the show to bolster her social following.
In the TikTok caption, she wrote: “Everyone uses the show for public attention and the opportunity to work with it, and that’s okay. But why do you judge Hanni for it?”
She continued: “Imagine you’re going on TV and don’t want to become famous?!” What a girl’s girl.
Irina from season four
Irina got an absolute roasting from her ex-fiancée, Zack, at the live reunion, who claimed she only went on the show to get famous.
“If we’re real, you went on this show to get famous. But look, I forgive you. I genuinely, 100 percent forgive you, Irina. I really don’t hold anything against you. There’s so many people that want to attack the people, the cast on this show. And you have no idea, like, everybody who made a mistake on this show, it has been punishment enough for the entire world to see them at their worst.
“We all did something stupid. And so I 100 percent forgive you Irina,” he added. “My last comment, I stand on that. I have receipts. The only receipts I think the world should see are the ones I posted on my Instagram today.”
Sam from Love Is Blind UK
Sam has never actually openly admitted he went on the show just to find fame, and he’s actually said quite the opposite on social media after the show. However, that didn’t stop his fellow Love Is Blind UK castmates calling him out for that very behaviour.
In an interview with Heat, Nicole revealed there was a lot that viewers didn’t see which happened off camera, explaining: “So, based off everything that I’ve now seen on the show, and based off everything I’ve seen off camera as well, I don’t necessarily think that the way he treated me implied that he was there for love or for me alone.”
Benaiah, who was also in attendance, added: “There’s a lot of things he said and did off camera, stuff that wasn’t shown, that I think would give people a very clear bigger picture.”
Another castmate Freddie admitted how he really felt about Sam in an interview with The Sun, brutally saying: “I don’t hold any grudges against anyone, but obviously, the situation wasn’t great, especially what happened with Benaiah and Nicole.
“Obviously I love them both like Ben’s my best friend, and he should be more mindful because there’s a lot we haven’t seen and a lot off-camera that doesn’t align with my values and things that I’ve seen. So I don’t believe he was there for real reasons, and I think that he has probably deprived someone of an opportunity. You know somebody who was willing to kind of meet somebody and find a partner, so that was very disappointing.
“But I don’t want to see him get hate. I don’t want to see anyone get hate, so it’s not nice.”
Even Tom got involved. During an Ask Me Anything on Reddit, he took a break from preaching about who should be paying for dinner and spoke on the matter of Sam.
“Ahhhh Sam is a complicated man. I think he’s someone who desperately needs to find validation from other people due to his own insecurities, and that meant that he came into the experiment wanting to be a version of himself that other people wanted, rather than being authentically himself,” he said.
“And that’s why he ended up getting so much heat. He obviously needs to do some work to go and find out who he truly is and work on some of his less desirable characteristics, but hell, we all do!” Harsh, but Sam has now been dating model Shani Goldstein and has found his happy ending.
