Valentine’s is right around the corner, and whether you’re planning to spend it with a loved one, your besties or solo, a good meal is a must.
Don’t leave it until the last minute (like those unfinished lecture notes that’ve been open on your laptop for a month) and get yourself a table booked now!
The Ivy (City Centre) – British and Asian Fusion
If you’re feeling fancy, or really trying to impress your date, The Ivy offers a beautiful, chic atmosphere. Alongside the swoon-worthy interiors, the diverse menu offers a sophisticated dining experience. While the OG offers British classics, it’s sister restaurant The Ivy Asia (right next door in the city centre) is known for its modern Asian cuisine. Whilst they’re not considered budget options, if you’re feeling boujee you’re in for a special and unforgettable evening.
Miller & Carter
If you’re in the mood for a classic steak dinner, Miller & Carter delivers.
This steakhouse chain offers top-quality meats along with an extensive wine list. The ambiance is relaxed but chic, and the perfect atmosphere for an indulgent, romantic Valentine’s meal. And for those who have already blown through their student loan, they offer a three course set menu for £40pp.
Mowgli
If you and your date love spice and bold flavours, this is a great spot for dinner.
This restaurant on Boar Street in the city centre has a great Valentine’s menu featuring their iconic Tiffin Boxes and a glass of bubbles.
Sparkly fairy lights and unique swing-seat chairs also make this the perfect romantic spot, or a fun dinner destination with friends where you’re bound to get great pics for the ‘gram. Plus, it’s just a few doors down from lots of bars for after-dinner drinks!
