Guys, everyone is just remembering Chrishell Stause was engaged to Mr Schue from Glee

How was this even a thing

Chrishell Stause was once engaged to the man who plays Mr Schue from Glee! Before she became famous on Selling Sunset, she was in a relationship with ex-fiancé Matthew Morrison but clearly, it didn’t pan out. She’s now in a happy marriage with G Flip, but Chrishell looks back on her former relationship with gratitude.

Um, Chrishell was engaged to Mr Schue

Chrishell was once engaged to Mr Schue, the nickname for the Glee character Will Schuester, from 2006 to 2007. Matthew Morrison played the role from 2009 to 2015, two years after his relationship with Chrishell came to an end. He then finally moved on from Chrishell in 2011, when he started dating Renee Puente, who he has been married to for 10 years.

In her book, she wrote, “I’m thankful for where I am, as painful as some of my breakups may have been. I dated Glee actor Matthew Morrison in my mid twenties, and we fell in love and got engaged. I didn’t fully understand what a healthy, solid relationship looked like, even though of course I thought I did.”

She got super brutal and continued: “If you’ve seen Selling Sunset, you might know how that relationship ended because during one of the on-camera interviews I said, ‘If I ended up with the person I was with when I was twenty-five, I would want to kill myself… Yeah, you can google that. You were a d***! Sorry!’”

“A lot of time has passed since that relationship ended, and we can both laugh about it all now. It’s not like we’re hanging out and bonding every week, but we’ve run into each other a few times over the years and even though I sounded a little angry on Selling Sunset, it’s always cordial,” Chrishell added.

Mr Schue proposed after one year together

Chrishell has had a fair few public romances, but Mr Schue was her first after breaking into Hollywood. He proposed to Chrishell the first December they spent together, after dating for less than a year. In a 2013 interview with Cosmopolitan, Matthew said he felt societal pressure to propose to his then-girlfriend, telling the outlet he “didn’t do it for the right reasons.”

He changed his mind literally minutes after proposing. “When I was 27, I proposed to my then girlfriend, but I didn’t do it for the right reasons. We’d been going out for a year or so and I felt under pressure from society. I was thinking, ‘This is the age when I should probably start having kids so this is what I should do…’ But after I did it (proposed), I immediately felt in my heart it wasn’t right,” he said.

Matthew, who later ended the engagement, admitted it was an awful experience, but he learned a lot. “My instant thought was ‘What did you just do?’ We talked and decided to break off the engagement… It was messed up… It turned out to be one of the biggest growing experiences I’ve had as a man. I’d made this massive decision; I’d promised this girl a life together and I couldn’t follow through. It was awful.”

The Glee star then insisted calling off the wedding was the right thing to do: “For a lot of people, the mistake they make is going through with a marriage when it doesn’t feel right in your gut… And then you’re 50 years old with four kids and you’re like ‘Yeah I s**ewed up’.” Luckily, it turned out it was the best decision, as they have both happily moved on!
