The most savage fights in Love Island history that make Scott and Luca’s beef look tame

It’s moments like these that remind us why we adore Love Island

Season two of Love Island All Stars has already seen countless fights, tussles, and spats, but the most tense moment was undoubtedly Luca Bish’s confrontation with Scott Thomas.

The moment came in the first few weeks when this year’s All Stars crop settled down for a classic game of truth and dare. Naturally, they were soon beefing as Luca spilt that Scott was not really into his girlfriend Tina Stinnes. Scott got up into Luca’s face, branding him “insecure” before the rest of the lads pulled them apart.

After quitting the show, Scott told Love Island’s The Morning After podcast that viewers did not get to see the week-long exchange of banter that ultimately contributed to the brief tussle. But not all Love Island fights are created equal, and if anything, this selection is beefier than the white-meat Luca and Scott offered.

1. Faye Winter and Teddy Soares’ Love Island fight sparked Ofcom complaints

The 2021 edition of the show saw Faye Winter explode at her boyfriend Teddy Soares after learning he found another woman attractive during his Casa Amor tenure. He still chose to remain with Faye, but she simply couldn’t control her anger as it continued to build.

The bust-up – which spanned several scenes and numerous areas of the villa – inevitably sparked 25k complaints to Ofcom.

2. Malia Arkian was dumped from the villa after fighting Kady McDermott

During season two of Love Island, Malia Arkian broke the record for the shortest stint in the villa after she clashed with Kady McDermott over a spilt drink. They exchanged insults, which included Malia branding Kady disrespectful before the girls had to physically separate them to prevent further fighting.

Malia was dumped just 45 minutes into her stint and it marked one of the rare times an Islander was removed from the competition due to a physical altercation.

3. I still quote Maura Higgins’ comebacks to Tom Walker to this day

This tense moment cemented Maura Higgins as one of the most iconic Islanders of all time and it started with the fateful sentence “It’ll be interesting to see if she’s all mouth” uttered by Tom Walker. Maura did not take kindly to the jab and soon dismissed her boyfriend as she ditched their date.

4. Ellie Brown used some vile language against Georgia Steel

When Georgia Steel found herself in a love triangle with Laura Anderson and Jack Fowler – something not dissimilar to the one we saw with Luca, Samie, and Grace in All Stars – Ellie Brown had some expletive-ridden thoughts. The feud continued throughout most of the season but in one particularly nasty moment Ellie branded Georgia an “ugly c**t.”

5. Jonny Mitchell’s fight with Theo was more funny than savage

This was one of those moments when I was convinced a fight would break out. In reality, the shady comments mostly stayed in confessionals besides Jonny’s “b*****d” clap back during recoupling which forced Theo to his feet.

6. Olivia Attwood confronted the islanders after being branded ‘confrontational’

Hurricane Olivia Attwood swang by the Love Island villa in 2017 during Love Island season three. After being dubbed “confrontational”, Olivia tried to prove she was exactly the opposite by getting confrontational. The resulting argument left Montana Brown in tears and us at home clutching our pearls.

7. Malin Andersson’s toastie-gate was only the tip of the Terry Walsh

In 2016, Malin Andersson dared to share Terry Walsh’s toastie with another Islander in a move that created one of Love Island’s most ridiculous arguments. It soon spiralled out of control but was only the prelude to Malin and Terry’s beef.
