We just got an official update for when GTA 6 is going to release, and it’s very good news

It feels like years since we’ve heard anything official from Rockstar about what date we might expect GTA 6 to release, but thanks to Take-Two Interactive Studios we have a more specific confirmation.

Take-Two Interactive are the parent company of Rockstar and during their yearly earnings report, the studio confirmed that GTA 6 was still confirmed and on track to release in Autumn 2025. And whilst that might seem a way away, we’ve waited this long so another eight months or so will go by in a blink.

So whilst we still don’t have an exact release date for one of the most hotly anticipated games of the decade, it looks like we’ll be paying GTA 6 before the year is up!

The official financial review from Take-Two stated: “Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two.

“We plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, GTA 6 in the Fall, and Borderlands 4.”

“We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [GTA 6] in fall of 2025.”

The CEO of the parent studio, Strauss Zelnick admitted that he knows some fans will feel disappointed over the continued lack of an official release date for GTA 6.

He explained: “Look, there’s always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things. So we feel really good about it.

I genuinely cannot wait for GTA 6 but I’m begging Rockstar to just give us some more little crumbs of gameplay and a more specific release date, I’ll take anything at this point!
