Here’s what we know about the Gino D’Acampo allegations and his full ‘firm’ response

Gino has responded to each individual allegation

Gino D’Acampo has been hit with a slew of sexually inappropriate behaviour allegations spanning a 12-year period after a bombshell investigation was dropped by ITV on February 6. Gino has “firmly denied” the allegations.

“All of the concerns and complaints raised by those who have spoken to ITV describe behaviour which is inappropriate and unacceptable. Most of them were not reported to ITV at the time,” ITV said in a statement.

“Where issues have been raised with ITV, action has been taken. We can only act where we know that concerns have been raised, and will now be following up on those that had not previously been reported to us.”

Here’s everything we currently know and what he said in response.

What are the Gino D’Acampo allegations?

Under pseudonyms to protect their identity – something they felt was needed because of Gino’s high profile – numerous women detailed the “distressing” and “horrendous” behaviour of the celebrity chef.

A woman referred to as Hannah recalled a 2011 magazine shoot when Gino said he would like to “turn me over and f**k me up the a*s against the kitchen counter.” The woman claimed there were “ripples” of laughter as no one stepped in to help her.

“This allegation from almost 15 years ago has never, until now via a media request, been raised or put to Mr D’Acampo. He does not recall it, nor accept that it happened,” Gino’s legal team said in response.

Another woman said he ‘flicked’ his groin

Another woman, known as Natalie in the ITV interview, said she experienced inappropriate behaviour when preparing Gino for a photo shoot on location.

“He opened the door in his boxer shorts, nothing else. And jumped on the bed and was sort of – leg up,” she said. “We had to sort of sit there facing him and he made, you know, reference to his d***, basically saying, ‘Oh, don’t worry, it’s only small’, and sort of flicking it.”

Responding, Gino’s legal team said: “Mr D’Acampo categorically denies these allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour. To his knowledge no such allegations have been made against him in relation to his time on ‘Gino’s Italian Express’ and this is the first time, six years later, he has been informed of these alleged incidents, and he does not accept them, not least because some of this is considered by Mr D’Acampo to be a fabricated work of fiction.”

One of Gino D’Acampo’s alleged comments was stuck in a woman’s mind ‘for years’

A former colleague further claimed that Gino threatened to “f**k” an employee’s girlfriend unless he retrieved a Cornetto for him. This alleged incident occurred in 2019.

“He was using his power to bully and intimidate us. For what? A cookery programme,” they said as Gino’s team said he was “mortified” by the comment but “does not recall this incident at all.”

There were a load of claims associated with Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip in 2018

During the filming of Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip TV show in 2018, a woman known as Lena recalled: “Without saying hello or good morning, he just loudly announced he felt like f*****g that morning.”

“Shouldn’t we be talking about her t**s? They’re perfect, like a mouthful,” he reportedly said on another occasion about a co-worker’s breasts.

According to the ITV report, the production company Objective Media Group was aware of the allegations and implemented “bespoke training” in response as well as Gino being “spoken to.”

Responding to those allegations, Gino D’Acampo’s legal team said: “These allegations from six years ago are said to have been made in an email from December 2024 to Objective Media Group which Mr D’Acampo has not seen. The first time that Mr D’Acampo became aware of these allegations was via ITN’s request for comment and, even then, no context has been provided for any of these statements.

“No-one has ever made these complaints to Mr D’Acampo. Mr D’Acampo does not recall making any of these comments, nor does he accept that they were made. They include language that he would not use, such as the word ‘middle-aged woman'”.
