Here’s what Love Islander Chuggs’ real name actually is, and where he got his nickname from

This is so posh boy coded it hurts

Love Island All Stars has just revealed its latest bombshell as Chuggs – and shock horror, that’s not actually his real name. I would say he “rose to fame” or something along those lines in the 2021 villa, but in reality he lasted 48 hours then dipped.

That being said, he’s one of those Love Island enigmas I can’t help but be hooked on. He entered the villa, wore Crocs every day and then left without saying much. The posho Oxford Brookes boy is back on All Stars now, so naturally, everyone is talking about his name. Yes, “Chuggs” is unfortunately just a nickname. So, here’s what his name actually is and where the nickname came from.

Ok so what is Love Island bombshell Chuggs’ real name then?

It feels like Chuggs should be some posh boy uni nickname, given to him by the rugby lads for his ability to down a drink better than anyone else. After all, he is from Surrey and he did study business management at Brookes.

But, it turns out it has a much more wholesome origin than that. Chuggs is short for “cuddles and hugs” and is a nickname he was given by his family. He revealed the cute detail when he was in the villa the first time around.

Chuggs’ full, real name is actually Oliver George Lee Wallis. A much more boring alternative than Chuggs, if I do say so.

When asked why he’s ready for a second shot in the villa, Chuggs said: “I’m way more settled in myself. I’ve moved out properly, been living in London and got a new group of friends that I enjoy. I am focussed way more on my business. The maturity factor, slice of the real world, being more confident and more content with myself.”

Let’s just hope he has better luck on All Stars than he did on Love Island the first time around.
