The exact moment that hinted Scott was going to quit All Stars days before he left

Scott decided to quit Love Island in scenes that were shown on Sunday’s episode, but there’s a moment that hinted he was going to leave days before.

“I can’t force connections, and I feel like I’ve come here and done everything I wanted to do. I just have to be true to myself,” he told Luca at the firepit.

However, he actually already aired those feelings in a conversation with Gabby on the bean bags, so we should’ve spotted the signs he was about to walk.

“I feel like nothing’s really progressing feelings-wise. Nothing’s wrong. I still enjoy spending time with Tina but I just don’t see anything really changing at the moment,” he told her.

Gabby replied: “I just don’t want her to get hurt, it’s only fair to tell her.”

“100% I was gonna talk to her anyway, I’m just frustrated because I want it to be her because she’s amazing,” he then said.

Gabby said it’s funny how someone can “tick all the boxes but then still not be quite it?” and Scott was just concerned about not hurting her.

After leaving the villa, he told Maya Jama he found two connections in there which “is like winning the lottery,” so he knew he wouldn’t possibly find a third.

“I felt like if I had to start again with a new connection I’d be losing myself and I wouldn’t be true to myself,” he said.

The 36-year-old added that his first time on Love Island was “so much easier” because he had a connection with Kady straight away and they stayed together right to the final.

“Could that maybe have been the downfall then? Having your first experience, hitting it off straight away with Kady pretty much, and then coming in and maybe expecting the same and it not happening?” Maya asked.

He replied: “Yeah, I think I took it for granted the first time round. To find someone you’ve got that – I call it fireworks. I had a connection with Tina but it wasn’t fireworks, and yeah, it feels like the right decision.”
