Attention Lincoln students: Superbull is moving to a ‘bigger, better, buller’ venue

Lincoln club life is changing as we know it

Iconic Lincoln student club night, Superbull has announced its moving to a “bigger, better, buller” venue.

After a few days of teasing its “big” news, the student night out confirmed it’ll be moving from Bierkeller and Level to Home nightclub. This is due to the closure of the aforementioned venues.

For those that don’t know, Superbull is a student night out hosted every Friday and is notorious for its mascot Superbull (where it also gets its name from).

From Friday, 7th February Superbull will be hosted at Home nightclub, across five floors, making it bigger than the previous venue. The company announced the final event in Bierkeller and Level as “One Last Dance On Silver Street” for Friday 31st January.

Superbull has also confirmed that the event will be staying student-only, with drinks prices, steins and entry fees staying the same despite the move.

We have seen a mix of vibes in responses from this move. With some students seeing the best in the situation, and some calling the last event in Level the funeral of Superbull.

Shannon and Jasmine, two second year students, say it wont be the same, but are excited for the disco floor in Home. Shannon added: “It might be better because home is a bit bigger and Superbull is much busier this year compared to the last.”

The nightclub Bierkeller announced the close on Instagram the same time Superbull posted about the venue change.

The reason behind shutting down is said to be due to the affects of the pressure the UK nightlife has had following the pandemic. As well as this, the club has had impacts from both the cost of living crisis and changes in lifestyle habits. Bierkeller’s last night open will be on Saturday 1st February, with 50 per cent off beer/cider steins.

Lincoln student Chaz took to TikTok to explain how upset she was about both the closure. She said: “This is a sad, benchless dancing day, I will be going to the funeral on the last day though,” with many people in the comments agreeing.
