‘I can’t look at him’: Gabby shares where she stands with Marcel as they’re both cast in All Stars

Gabby and Marcel are set for a very awkward reunion, as the exes have both been cast in Love Island All Stars. They might not know it yet, but they’ll soon be living together for up to five weeks – following their explosive breakup.

Gabby and Marcel met on Love Island back in 2017. Almost a year later they broke up, when Marcel admitted to cheating on her during a holiday to Mexico together. Yes, he cheating whilst they were on a holiday *together*. It was reported at the time the couple had argued on the trip, so Marcel decided to sneak off with someone else who was staying at their hotel.

Now, they’re going to have to relive it all as they’ve both been cast in Love Island All Stars 2025. Speaking to The Tab ahead of going back into the villa, Gabby said there isn’t a chance of them getting back together, but she would like to have a chat with him about what went down.

“We haven’t seen each other in years,” she said. “I would like to have a conversation with him, and put it behind us.” She called his cheating a “huge betrayal of trust”.

Gabby did add she would be open to the idea of forming a friendship with Marcel, but despite this did say she “can’t look at him the same way” because of how much he broke her heart.

“I don’t think I would ever get back with him, it was a betrayal of trust,” she said. She added: “There are no hard feelings. We had a great experience [on Love Island] together. I think we could be mates.”

People have been shocked to find out Marcel was in the cast for the show, given he’s still technically married to Rebecca Vieira. After breaking up with Gabby, Marcel got into a relationship with Rebecca. They welcomed a son, Roman, in January 2021. He and Rebecca then got married in August 2022.

They split last year after Rebecca admitted to cheating. However, it’s believed their divorce is still pending. Speaking of this, Gabby said she “hopes [Marcel’s] alright” since his recent breakup.
