The Traitors is back, which means we’ll all spend the next month of our lives staring at this one castle in Scotland. Spending time in such a vibey place surely makes up for the surprisingly small amount of money the cast get for being on the show?

It turns out that the real-life castle from The Traitors is available for private hire and this just comes with a world of possibilities. I personally think someone needs to take one for the time and use their life savings to hire the whole castle out for an epic The Traitors-themed party. Here’s a look inside the vibey castle where The Traitors is filmed and you can actually hire out for parties.

Which castle is The Traitors filmed in?

Both the UK and the US versions of the show are filmed in Ardross Castle. It’s in the Ross-shire area of the Scottish Highlands. Inverness is about a 40-minute drive away. No wonder Claudia Winkleman is always wrapped up in her extensive collection of knitwear.

The main building was constructed in the Victorian era in order to look like a proper medieval Hogwarts-y castle. This explains why the towers all look rather shiny and clean.

There are loads of fancy gardens

Now the cast of The Traitors season three have started doing challenges, we’ve seen more of the castle grounds. There are landscaped formal gardens, a walled garden with glasshouse, a pond, and a place to go fly fishing along the River Alness. There are over 100 acres of parkland. Doesn’t sound too shabby.

Sorry. The castle is private property. It’s not open to the public, and it’s not a hotel. So you can’t just stroll up to the front gates and ask to look at the vibey dining room table where the contestants pick who gets banished.

…But you can hire out the whole castle for parties

The Ardross Castle website says, “The estate is located in Ross-shire and is available for exclusive use hire for both corporate and private clients. The Castle is not a hotel and we do not let individual rooms.”

So, you can’t ask to book out the dining room for an afternoon. But if you have the money, you can hire out the whole castle in one go to film a TV show, host a corporate event, or host one hell of a party.

You could have a The Traitors themed wedding if you felt so inclined

For hardcore fans only. But seriously, Ardoss Castle offers loads of different wedding packages. You could get married in the Great Hall from The Traitors.

There is a way you could stay overnight in The Traitors castle

So, The Traitors castle isn’t a hotel. The actual contestants don’t even get to stay in the castle overnight – they get driven back to a hotel next to the Inverness airport, which doesn’t exactly have the same vibes as the castle. But as part of the exclusive hire wedding package, up to 41 guests can stay in the castle for two nights.
