Hold on, do The Traitors UK season three cast even get paid for being on the show?
They end up with wildly different amount of money?!
Praise the Lord, The Traitors are back. How else are we to fill the dully, dreary month of January? The Traitors contestants have to go through lots of tricky challenges, like lying, backstabbing, and pretending to find Claudia Winkleman funny. So, how much money could The Traitors season three cast actually get paid for being on the show? We reveal all.
The Traitors cast could win £120,000 (but probably won’t)
If you want to get rich from reality TV, you’re better off applying for Love Island, to be honest. The maximum prize money is in theory £120,000. But the odds are that most of the 25 contestants won’t ever get close to that. The last winner, Harry, ended up with £95,150. In season one, Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams collectively won, and got £33,683 each.
The contestants get about £100 per day
So, The Traitors season three cast doesn’t get paid an appearance fee. But we know they receive about £100 for each day they’re on the show, to cover their expenses and sort of balance out the cost of having to take time off work.
Aaron Evans (one of the three winners from season one in 2022) said: “They don’t technically pay you, they subsidise what you would have got for work with the show, it’s roughly like £100 a day.
“It’s not that much, but it’s definitely worth it.”

This surely means that The Traitors season three contestants will end up with wildly different amounts of money, depending how long they’re on the show for. If you make it through all twelve episodes, you could end up with over £1,200. I suddenly understand why they’re all so worried about being “murdered” each night.
