Claudia Winkleman just explained The Traitors’ new finale twist in a way that’s less confusing

This made zero sense to me in last night’s episode

The Traitors season three is finally here, after we all collectively waited a billion lifetimes for it. It’s wild to think that last year’s season, with its legendary introduction to the world of mother supreme Diane wasn’t actually released like three years ago because it feels THAT long ago since we had a new season of The Traitors. Of course, this show is full of devious twists – but there was one Claudia Winkleman explained last night that there would be a big change to how the final goes down that nobody could really get their heads around what she meant. Thankfully, The Winkleman has actually gone into more detail and explained what this new The Traitors final twist means for the faithfuls and traitors in 2025.

Claudia Winkleman explained that finalists will no longer reveal if they’re a traitor or a faithful, instead the focus returning to gut instincts of players. But the way she said it made some people think this would happen every banishment, which was obviously not the case .“You will need to rely solely on your instincts as to whether any traitors are left in the game,” she told the contestants in last night’s episode.

But speaking in more detail to the Express, Claudia Winkleman explained the twist in the final of The Traitors 2025 a bit clearer.

“Those who make it to the final no longer reveal their true identities when they leave. Instead, you will need to rely solely on your instincts about whether there are any Traitors left in the game. But it’s so smart because it underlines you think you know how to play.”

“If players came into the castle [after watching the series before], they might have a way of working it out, right, whether you want to be a traitor or a faithful and ‘I’m going to play this part and throw this person on the bus’, that takes away all of that and it goes back to the absolute main body of the show, which is trust and your gut instinct. So at the end I will thank somebody for taking part and they can just walk out.”

Don’t know how I feel about this twist to be honest, and kind of just wished they told us nearer to the finale because it feels MILES off yet!
