Whilst lesser known than his new wifey to be, record producer and songwriter Benny is known in his own right for producing a load of popular songs, as well as for a few controversies of his own. Elsie Hewitt – 2019 to 2020

After meeting on the set of his and Juice WRLD’s 2019 music video for Graduation, Benny and Elsie started dating back in 2019. Their relationship was seemingly confirmed after she made a Twitter post dedicated to him. It read: “i just saw its #NationalBoyfriendDay i wish u were here instead of being on the titanic but thank u for existing and i don’t know what i’d do without u”

He replied at the time: “we wish u were single.”

They posted a number of photos online together throughout their relationship. They eventually split up in 2020, but the details of their breakup remain unknown.

Benny and Selena met when he helped produce her song Single Soon back in 2023. Rumours of a potential romance between them spread after it was heard they were getting close. And of course, the rumours were confirmed when Selena passionately confirmed their relationship online in December last year after six months of dating in secret.

Selena fiercely defended her involvement with Benny online, firing back to commenters who criticised their relationship. Writing back to fans in the comment section of an Instagram post she shared, Selena wrote: “He is my absolute everything in my heart” before replying to a fan: “then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”

To another user, she said: “lol yeah and he’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”

In another comment she claimed to be “done” with the internet’s reaction. Selena wrote: “I don’t understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest. If you don’t feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [m]y life at all.”

The couple have since shared photographs online looking super in love after getting engaged earlier in December, despite theories that they were engaged in secret much earlier. And while the dating history of Benny Blanco isn’t long, it’s clear he’s a bit of a romantic and prefers to keep things on the down low.
