The traumatic reason Tulisa always sleeps with a knife under bed and bow and arrow at the ready
It’s got to the level where she is practising archery at home
After her valiant comeback and subsequent disappearance from I’m A Celeb, Tulisa opened up about the measures she takes to protect herself, which includes sleeping with a knife under her bed and practising her archery skills.
We initially grew to love Tulisa as one part of N-Dubz before she became iconic through her time on X Factor. However, after years of tabloid persecution and several scandals, she fled to America to live a life of relative anonymity. Of course, she returned to UK screens last month when she competed on I’m A Celeb.
Since her dramatic exit from the show, Tulisa has been taking some time to collect her thoughts and protect her mental health. In her first major interview post-show, she sat down with MAFS dating expert Paul C Brunson. Here’s what she said.
Tulisa admitted to having weapons ready at home
While sitting down with Paul on his We Need To Talk podcast, which also saw her open up about her relationship with Fazer, Tulisa revealed she has weapons ready in case of a threat.
“I live like I’m still under threat to this day. I’ve slept with a knife under my bed [for what] pretty much feels most of my life now. I don’t know what it is I’m preparing for — some kind of assassination attempt? I know it sounds crazy,” she told Paul.
If the knife doesn’t suffice, Tulisa has a plan B.
She continued: “I practise archery at home: I have a bow and arrow. It’s got to that level. I don’t spend my life rattling around my house waiting for someone to come through the door but I am prepared if I hear a bump in the night — I am ready to go.”

Looking back, Tulisa was forced to weather a number of threats over the years, starting with the revenge porn scandal that rocked her early X Factor stint. She was then involved in a fake drug bust that resulted in the “fake sheikh” being jailed for 15 months.
Like many celebrities, she has also been forced to contend with death threats over the years. Following the controversy over her judgement of X Factor contestant Misha B in 2011, Tulisa issued an apology which also noted the vitriol she had received because of it.
“It was more of a reaction to online violent/ death threats to me & my family & people telling me to kill myself,” she said on Instagram.
