Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni ‘pressured’ her into stripping naked for birth scene

His lawyer said the allegations are ‘categorically false’

Blake Lively has accused her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Bladoni of forcing her to strip naked for the birth scene at the end of It Ends With Us.

It’s one of many allegations set out in a lawsuit the actress filed on Friday (December 20) which accuses him of “sexual harassment,” the BBC reports.

She alleges that Baldoni and the Wayfarer Studios CEO, Jamey Heath engaged in “inappropriate and unwelcome behavior towards Ms Lively and others on the set of It Ends With Us.”

The entire lawsuit has been published online and Sections 35 and 36 relate to one scene where Lively’s character Lily Bloom is in labour.

“On the day of shooting the scene in which Ms Lively’s character gives birth Mr Baldoni and Mr Heath suddenly pressured Ms Lively to simulate full nudity despite no mention of nudity for this scene in the script, her contract, or in previous creative discussions,” the document says.

It alleges that Baldoni “insisted to Ms Lively” that women give birth naked and it was not normal for women to remain in their hospital gowns while giving birth. The legal filing claims: “Ms Lively disagreed but felt forced into a compromise that she would be naked from below the chest down.”

The lawsuit goes on to say the birth scene was “chaotic, crowded and utterly lacking in standard industry protections for filming nude scenes”. It alleges that the set was left open so all “non-essential crew” could pass through while she was “mostly nude with her leg spread wide in stirrups and only a small piece of fabric covering genitalia”.

It also claims that the Wayfarer Studios’ co-chairman Mr Sarowitz flew in for a visit that day and Lively was not provided with anything to cover herself with between takes “until after she had made multiple requests”.

The document alleges that Baldoni’s “best friend” was hired to play the OBGYN in the film, an intimate role that would usually be played by a local actor. She claimed his face and hands were very close to her genitalia which was “invasive and humiliating”.

Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman has denied all the allegations outlined in the lawsuit, saying: “It is shameful that Ms Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its representatives.”

He also alleged that her claims are “intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media”.
