Matty Healy threatened to ‘slap’ Azealia Banks in a fight on Twitter and it’s got really messy

In the most unexpected of Twitter fights in recent memory, the 1975 frontman Matty Healy and Azealia Banks have been beefing after Matty Healy called out Azealia Banks for making a dig at his pal Charli XCX. It’s a bit of a pop culture apocalypse, with two controversial characters in music butting heads and Azealia Banks is currently demanding to know whether Matty Healy is in London or LA so she can confront him. Matty quoted Azealia’s tweet where she commented on Charli XCX’s appearance. The Azealia tweet referred to a video of Charli shooting her 2014 video for Break The Rules, and the rapper said “She used to be so pretty”. Charli XCX is engaged to George Daniel of the 1975 – and her and Matty are close pals. Matty Healy responded “Azealia you seem to have a blind spot when it comes to your ‘reads’. Matty Healy hit back in a now deleted tweet, saying “I’ll f******slap you so hard I’ll get a Guinness world record for the highest a rat some b***h calls a wig has ever flown.”

Matty Healy then deleted the threatening tweet, and replied again to Azealia Banks apologising. He posted “Nah I can’t be saying I’m gonna hit a girl that’s insane I’m sorry. You just can’t keep being so mean about my mates and my mrs it’s really hurtful gets me well defensive.” He followed it up describing his actions as “not cool even if I was angry”.

Azealia Banks then posted a close up of his teeth, attacking the dentistry of Matty Healy saying “It’s clear you do not floss enough, don’t use the right toothpaste, should quit cigs, and you wait till after coffee to brush your teeth. Your gums look inflamed like early signs of gingivitis.

“You must brush your teeth first thing in the am because morning breath is not a result of having a closed mouth all night, it’s actually the refuse from what your heart detoxes up while you sleep.”
