They’re canny rich, but exactly how much are Ant and Dec being paid for I’m A Celeb?
I’ll run to Australia if it means earning that much
I’m A Celeb has finally returned to our screens this week, with 10 fresh faces making their way into the jungle for the 24th series. The first episode of this series was watched live by eight million viewers, which is sure to bring in the big bucks for ITV.
But the prize for the King or Queen of the Jungle is simply that: The title. The winning celebrity doesn’t receive a cash prize as they are already given a large sum for appearing on the show. There has been some online uproar this year regarding some of the celebs’ wages, with Coleen Rooney reportedly taking home the lion’s share of the budget.
Despite this, Coleen’s wage is nothing compared to the likes of Ant and Dec’s. Hosting the show every single day for three weeks, the nation’s favourite presenting duo
I’m a Celebrity is hosted, of course, by the nation’s favourite presenting duo: 45 time National Television Award winners Ant and Dec, but how much do the duo themselves get paid?
How do Ant and Dec get paid?
According to reports, Ant and Dec recently signed a “golden handcuffs” contract which will see them earn £40 million for three years’ work on ITV. Reports estimate that the duo will make approximately £3.3 million each month, working out at £35,000 per episode of Celeb.
To put that into perspective, Ant and Dec are being paid 40 times the amount of the lowest earning celebrity this series, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough. If that wasn’t enough to convince you to go into the world of TV presenting, I don’t know what will!
