There is a lot of messy drama between Brittany from Love Is Blind and her alleged boyfriend back home. Apparently, she’s been seeing singer Mod Sun (who was previously engaged to Avril Lavigne) but it came as a huge shock to a guy she’d been seeing who thought they were in an exclusive and committed four year relationship. But wait, wouldn’t a four year relationship also clash with the time she spent filming Love Is Blind? Let’s try and debunk what really went down.

Their first public interaction was when Brittany went to his concert in Texas on 3rd November with her Love Is Blind co-stars Alexandra Byrd and Hannah Jiles. During the performance, Mod spotted them in the crowd and pointed at Hannah and Brittany to ask: “Respectfully, are both of you on the show Love Is Blind? Umm, my name is Mod.” Brittany then blew a kiss to him, and the rest is history.

The couple were also spotted in LA by TMZ on Monday 11th November at Mod Sun’s concert after-party. They were very cosy, kissing and dancing in On The Rox nightclub. Then, they went out for dinner the following day.

Mod Sun and Brittany did not confirm or deny whether they were together to paparazzi when asked, so there is no hard evidence they are in a relationship.

What about Brittany’s alleged boyfriend?

A source told TMZ that Brittany apparently has a boyfriend on the East Coast called Rocky Hawkins, and they’ve been romantically involved for four years. How serious the romance is isn’t clear.

According to the source, Brittany and Rocky took some time apart for six months in the past but were still together before she went to film Love Is Blind, with Rocky even driving her to the airport to send her off. There is no evidence other than this claim.

They also reported that when Love Is Blind finished filming, Rocky picked her back up from the airport and they continued seeing each other, with their relationship well-known to their friends and family. The source explained that Brittany had recently told Rocky she wanted to gain more social media followers and make money from brand deals which is why she went on Love Is Blind.

Rocky gave a statement regarding the situation to TMZ, which seems to confirm there was not a direct overlap with Love Is Blind but her hookup with Mod Sun came as a shock to him.

“We were in a relationship prior to and right after the show aired. We have knowingly been in a committed relationship. I have been completely blindsided by all this leading up to when I dropped her off at the airport this past Monday for her trip to L.A. There’s nothing else to it,” he said.

Brittany was also asked about the situation but she just said “no comment.”
