Lana Del Rey just responded to the fake TikTok screenshot of her having beef with Lizzo
I am crying
If you’ve been online in the last day, you might have been faced with something that at first looked very real and likely stopped you in your silly little tracks. I am of course talking about the extremely fake screenshot that claimed to show Lana Del Rey and Lizzo having beef in the TikTok comment section. One sensible glance at this fight would clearly tell you it wasn’t real, but in a quite iconic turn of events, Lana Del Rey has debunked the Lizzo beef herself and commented on the saga. I am crying.
The original screenshot was posted by a parody pop culture news Twitter account called DropPop, and showed a fake back and forth between Lizzo and Lana Del Rey having a slanging match bit of beef. It read Lizzo saying “I’d love to see you back on the charts”, with the edit showing Lana reply “I would love to see you run a treadmill.”
The fake screenshot then had Lizzo saying “I hope that alligator eats your big ass”, referring to the wild news that Lana got impromptu married to alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene a few months back. Fake Lana then replied in the screenshot “you’d know about eating biggie.”
The actual Lana Del Rey then commented on the viral fake beef when it got posted on Instagram. From her @honeymoon account, Lana Del Rey explained how it wasn’t her by saying “I don’t think I have an official TikTok, other than the Grants one soooo. Or a Twitter. Very random.”

I can’t quite believe Lana addressed such nonsense at all, but considering this is the funniest bit of pop culture laughs I’ve seen all week I’m glad she did. Love picturing her seeing this screenshot and being like… what the f*ck.
Lizzo is yet to comment but I need her to make a statement on it just for the cycle to be complete.
