Lancaster University’s Law School clinic is open to give advice to the public
Law students will give free legal advice from 18th November to 10th March
Lancaster University Law School is set to re-open its Law Clinic to give free legal advice to the public.
The Law Clinic will be open from the 18th November to 10th March with appointments being provided face-to-face, by phone or virtually.
Free legal advice is given on a range of specialties such as wills and probate, landlord and tenant disputes, small claims and family law.
The Law Clinic is run by third year and postgraduate law students who provide free legal advice under close supervision of a fully qualified solicitor.
Sadie Whittam, Director of Clinical Legal Education at Lancaster University, said: “Since 2019, Lancaster University’s Law Clinic has helped more than 280 clients and provided the equivalent of around £390,000 of free legal advice.
“At a time when it is difficult for many to receive free, high-quality legal advice, we are delighted to re-open the Law Clinic to serve members of the public.”
