Baking

Baking is fun anytime of the year, but why not enjoy creating some halloween themed treats? Cookies cut out in various spooky shapes are must. From bat to cat or even pumpkin cookies.

Another treat are cakes which are easily decorated to look however you choose. Ghosts, pumpkins, and eyeballs are quick and easy decorations.

Decorate your Flat

Despite how easy it is sticking to decorating your room alone, garnishing your kitchen and hallway can really get both you and your flatmates into the Halloween Spirit.

With plenty of shops offering cheap decorations, fake cobwebs and fake pumpkins can easily transform your mundane kitchen into a spooky escape.

Carve Pumpkins

However, if fake pumpkins don’t cut it, then real pumpkins are easily accessible too. If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty then cutting up pumpkins is a great activity, especially whilst doing it with your friends.

For the more artsy crowd there are plenty of creative ideas for carving your pumpkins. With some of the best pumpkins being cut to look like various animals and celebrities.

Play Board Games

Board Games are a great way of chilling out, both in and out the house. If you’re looking to go out and explore then Scaredy Cats is an excellent place to grab a coffee and go socialise with friends. With a large array of board games there are definitely some creepy ones in stock.

However, if you’re looking to stay inside, there are some great creepy board games. Both One Night Ultimate Werewolf and Villainous encapsulate the creepy atmosphere of Halloween. Turn the lights off and light some candles then you’re in for an eery but wonderful night.

Go searching for Costumes

If you still want to dress up then you’re in luck. Take a browse in the Cardiff Joke Shop where you’ll find an endless amount of costume ideas. Witches, cats, vampires. Cardiff’s joke shop is always busy this time of year but for good reason, with a huge range of costumes.

If you’d rather make your own outfits then Primark is a great place to go for cheap clothes to DIY. Grab a cheap white T-shirt and transform it into a mummy costume.

Watch a spooky Halloween Film

There is a huge range of brilliant Halloween-themed films to relax to during the season. Whether alone or with your flatmates putting one of these one is an excellent pastime.

If horrors are your thing there is a countless amount of scary films to both delight and terrify you. With classics like Scream, Friday the 13th, and even Halloween! There are other more recent options such as Smile, as well.
