Here’s exactly what you should wear for Halloween based on your Birmingham accommodation
Prichatts? What even is that?
The best day of the year has arrived and to celebrate it, it is only fair to tease the first years about their accommodation choices. For anyone who doesn’t have any idea what to dress as a last minute costume, this could be the article for you! Buckle up for a little roasting and inspiration with only a couple hours left until everyone runs to Broad Street!
Chamberlain – Chalet Girl
The perfect costume would be Chalet Girl. With one hundred per cent of the female chamberlain residents being part of Brumski, it is only fair to pull the skis out also for Halloween. Not only will your save money for your weekly M&S shop, it is such an easy outfit to make last minute. Can’t wait to see you girlies skiing down Rosies stairs tonight!
Tennis Courts – Challengers
For the party accommodation, you should dress as characters from the film Challengers. Dressing in a non-cringey outfit and looking fit at the same time? This is a dream come true for those sportsmen out there that want to cruise through Halloween with a safe option. Not only this, the private schoolers who want to party in this accommodation are the only ones who can safely pay for the sport and fitness tennis memberships without having to remortgage their homes.
Elgar Court – The other woman
Most Read
Elgar Court easily should be dressed as “the other woman”. Being located next to Chamberlain, its hard to not be the other woman. Being able to see into their pre drinks with floor to ceiling windows, know they have a beautiful view of the Vale, coupled with modern decorations, I can understand why Elgar would be the Sabrina Carpenter of accommodations. Hopefully Chamberlain residents will pity you guys this Halloween and give you the privilege to let you into the tower… no promises though.
Bournbrook – Old Joe
Bournbrook, famous for practically being on the University of Birmingham campus. Dressing as UOB related outfits such as Old Joe is an easy way to get a decent outfit this Halloween. With Bournbrook flats having a great view of Old Joe, its only right to dress as the icon you sleep right next to. Surprised honestly nobody from Bournbrook has started a society for Old Joe yet.
Oak Brook Park – money
To commemorate the loss of money you will have to pay for this accommodation, it is best to dress as a pound sign. Back in the day (literally two years ago) I paid £168 for a deluxe room. Yeah it might have been expensive but it was great. Due to cost of livies, its time to sell your car and remortgage your house to be privileged enough to live here. Its only fair to celebrate the lack of money you will have for your Aldi shop by having this as your Halloween outfit this year.
Prichatts Road Townhouses – a ghost
What even is this place? Just dress as a ghost, it took me a whole year to understand where Prichatts even was. Legend has it, it is impossible to find one fresher, who likes to party, being incredibly grateful to be placed in the Prichatts area. Whilst being next to the University Medical Centre is great for Freshers’ Flu and antibiotics, nobody cares about this area of UOB accommodation. I would put a picture of Prichatts but after four years of uni, I don’t even have one in my camera roll… Sorry to say this to you guys x.
