There were three couples who got together during Love Is Blind season seven but were cut

It wasn’t just Brittany and Leo who got the chop!

Every season of Love Is Blind comes with the revelation that more couples found a connection on the show, but we didn’t follow their stories. During season seven of Love Is Blind it seems there were three couples who found love, but Netflix didn’t want to share it with us.

Of course we all know the tragic tale of Brittany and Leo, who got engaged on the show during one of the most awkward reveals of all time, but then it was dramatically announced on the show they had been ditched by producers.

But it seems two further couples got together during the pod dates, and we never saw it. You might remember the name Bohdan, as he was dating Marissa for a bit, but he also had a strong connection with a woman called Nina – who was in the cast alongside her sister, Tara.

By the end of the pod segment Nina and Bohdan were a couple, but Nina decided she wasn’t ready to get engaged. According to Vulture, Bohdan was “all in on the show as a process, insisting there was no harm in trying the engagement to see if they could work.” Their chats never made it onto the show, but his breakup with Marissa did.

In the end, the couple decided to not get engaged and leave together. They exchanged numbers and Bohdan did an interview with production, that also didn’t make it to air, in which he said he enjoyed the experience and had found a good connection.

Another connection we didn’t see was actually with Nina’s sister Tara. She ended up leaving the show on the same day as Nina, after finding a connection but deciding it was too soon to get married.

Brittany and Leo got engaged after dating in the pods, but didn’t carry onto the retreat. Following their engagement on the show, and ahead of all the couples heading away, a title card appeared on screen which told viewers the Brittany and Leo hadn’t been chosen to continue on their Love Is Blind journey.

Love Is Blind producer Chris Coelen shed some light on the situation, and in an interview with Variety admitted the budget was a big reason the show couldn’t follow Brittany and Leo, or any more couples, any further. “We have the budget to follow five couples and sometimes we stretch to six couples, and we figure out how to stack our crews,” he explained.

He said this season more couples got engaged, so the show made the decision to follow those they believed to be more “authentic”. He added: “When we make that decision as to who to follow, if we have more couples that got engaged, we make a decision as to which couples we think are authentic. And when I say authentic, I mean most authentically likely to actually be at the altar and say I do.”
