Polly slams ‘audacity’ of Channel 4 to promote applying to MAFS UK after *that* episode
‘Who the f*ck wants to apply after such a traumatic episode?’
Let’s not sugarcoat it, last night’s MAFS UK 2024 episode was a bit of a train wreck with Kristina and Kieran’s relationship really going off the deep end.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the preview for tonight’s episode looks even more harrowing with Luke coming to blows with literally everyone, Kristina breaking down in tears and Kieran sobbing on the floor with his back against the wall. Whatever happens tonight looks to be seriously emotional.
And literally immediately after being shown a clip of Kieran looking rock bottom emotionally, Channel 4 then encouraged viewers to apply for future series of MAFS. Yeah, I’m going to be honest that episode wasn’t exactly a shining promotion of what it’s like to be on the show.
And it seems the cast of MAFS UK 2024 have similar thoughts, as Sacha shared a screen recording of her group chat with her fellow brides.
It’s safe to say Polly wasn’t happy at all with Channel 4’s decision to put the call to action at the end of the episode, as she sent a voice note to her co-stars, angrily saying: “The absolute audacity of them putting to take part, please f*cking apply. Who the f*ck wants to apply after such a a traumatic episode?”
And you know what, I’m with Polly on this one. Other MAFS UK 2024 viewers were also in an uproar over the choice to encourage people to apply, slating the decision on Twitter.
One thing’s for certain, tonight is going to be an episode to remember.
