The 10 most successful content creators in 2024, and the eye-watering amounts of money they make
Brb I’m just making a YouTube account
Forbes has officially revealed the most successful content creators in 2024, and there’s some really surprising ones on the list.
Apparently Forbes figured out who the most successful content creators are in 2024 by analysing their earnings, their following and how much they’ve been entrepreneurial with (read: shamelessly exploited) their online presence.
Addison Rae didn’t make the top 10 this year – she’s only number 32 on the list. She apparently only raked in $3.40 million (£2.6 million) in 2024. I guess she’s been too busy making deeply questionable music?
So, here are the 10 most successful creators according to Forbes, and the eye-watering amounts of money they made in 2024 alone.
10. Khaby Lame – $20 million (£15.4 million)
@khaby.lame I promise it works #learnfromkhaby #comedy
The people are still reacting well to Khaby Lame reacting to things in 2024. He’s the most popular person on TikTok, with a massive 163 million followers. Khaby Lame is making bank by selling deeply weird and unessential kitchen appliances in Walmart, including a Khaby Lame Manual Nut Chopper Grinder, a Khaby Lame Tortilla Bowl Pan Set and a Khaby Lame Purple Taco Holder Set. Really.
9. Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal – $36 million (£27.7 million)
The Mythical YouTube brand has expanded so much that I can’t keep track of all the different shows. There’s the chatshow Good Mythical Morning, the food channel Mythical Kitchen, the channel Good Mythical MORE for bonus content, and something called Rhett & Links’s Wonderhole?

I still don’t get what’s “mythical” about any of it, but their 14.3 million followers are apparently very into this as they keep buying merch and tickets to live shows.
8. Alex Cooper – $22 million (£16.9 million)
@callherdaddy Daddy Gang, who was your favorite character in Twilight?!
The mastermind behind the Call Her Daddy podcast is flushed with cash in 2024. She just signed a deal with the audio streaming service SiriusXM for an eye-watering $125 million (£96.2 million). Think of how many Sabrina Carpenter tickets you could buy with that.
7. Mark Rober – $25 million (£19.2 million)
Mark Rober used to be an engineer at NASA, and now makes vaguely educational science videos. If you ever need to destroy something and get to pick between lasers and lava, you’re in luck!
6. Dixie D’Amelio – $14.6 million (£11.2 million)
@dixiedamelio the fitting vs the final look @BOSS @Versace @FERRAGAMO @Diesel #milanfashionweek
The lesser D’Amelio sister doesn’t post as many annoying dance videos as she used to (thank the gods) but her bank account hasn’t noticed the difference. She made more money this year than ever before, thanks to brand deal and her, ahem, critically divisive single Be Happy.
5. Alex and Alan Stokes – $20 million (£15.4 million)
The Stokes Twins never seem to run out of space to build secret rooms / waterparks / McDonald’s mock-ups in their houses for YouTube and TikTok.
4. Charli D’Amelio – $23.5 million (£18.1 million)
@charlidamelio
Yes, the D’Amelio girlies are apparently still popular in 2024. 213.5 million people bother to follow Charli on TikTok. She’s making money through ads for Garnier and D’Amelio Footwear.
3. Matt Rife – $50 million (£38.5 million)
@matt_rife She nearly ruined the night 😂🫎🇬🇧 #comedy #standup #standupcomedy #funny #mattrife #crowdwork #roast #london #laugh
The 29-year-old comedian has been performing professionally since he was 15. He went viral on TikTok in 2022, and now is laughing all the way to the bank. He sells out live shows and has a deal with Netflix.
2. Dhar Mann – $45 million (£34.7 million)
@dhar.mann TEACHER CATCHES STUDENT LYING Ft. @im_siowei
Dhar Mann Studios makes melodramatic short films for Tube videos along the lines of “SCHOOL JOCK Is Secretly A Ballerina” and “Kids MAKE FUN OF Boy With AUTISM, They Instantly Regret It”. Amazingly, 23 million people subscribe to them.
1. Mr Beast – $85 million (£64.5 million)
Unsurprisingly, Forbes ranked Mr Beast as the most successful and highest-earning of all the content creators in 2024. The man legit got nine billion YouTube views over the last year. His earnings might not be so high next year, what with all the legal fees he’s got coming up…
