The real reason Louise Thompson declined being a part of the Beyond Chelsea cast

It’s been revealed why Louise Thompson declined to take part in new Made in Chelsea spin-off show, Beyond Chelsea. The series focuses on the lives of iconic cast members from the original show, and what they’re up to now.

Now in their 30s, navigating through new challenges and life’s biggest milestones, the new series will follow the cast, their families and closest friends, as they juggle family life, host events and run successful businesses. It starts tonight (October 29th) on E4.

The cast of Beyond Chelsea is made up of Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue and Lucy Watson. In an interview with The Tab, they said we can expect cameos from other MIC legends, too. However, one of those legends will not be Louise Thompson, who was on Made in Chelsea from 2011 to 2020.

Producers are said to have hoped Louise would be involved too, but a source told MailOnline: “Louise was offered a role on Beyond Chelsea, which was obviously something she considered, to star alongside her friends Binky and Rosie would have been a lot of fun.

“But sadly, she wasn’t available during the filming dates due to being booked on another project so had to make the tough decision not to take part. She supports Beyond Chelsea and is looking forward to the series airing this week.”

A TV source added: “Producers hoped Louise would allow cameras to film inside the home she shares with fiancé Ryan Libbey, inviting scenes with brother Sam and his long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott, who live together next door.

“It would have been great viewing for audiences who have watched the family grow and been fans of Louise and Sam from the beginning right through to his winning stint last year on I’m A Celeb.”

Beyond Chelsea will air on E4 and will be available to stream from Tuesday 29th October.
