Everything Blake Lively has been up to since her dramatic It Ends With Us downfall this summer
I don’t think Blake Lively enjoyed Brat Summer much
Pretty much every day in summer 2024, Blake Lively got dragged for something else. Rumours surfaced that she and Justin Baldoni had feuded behind the scenes of their movie It Ends With Us, and drama followed. The actress was suddenly slated on social media for pretty much every issue under the sun, including *takes deep breath* being mean to journalists, using a weirdly inappropriate song in It Ends With Us, being a nepo baby, using transphobic slurs, sucking up to Taylor Swift, marrying Ryan Reynolds on a plantation, not wearing a friendship bracelet and using a movie about domestic violence to promote her alcohol brand. 2024 wasn’t exactly her year.
Blake Lively may have been lying low on social media (can’t say I blame her) but her life has been as busy as ever. Here’s everything Blake Lively has been up to since It Ends With Us and her dramatic downfall this summer:
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were seen with Taylor Swift and that footballer man
Blake Lively has spent lots and lots of time with Taylor Swift, and been photographed doing it. On 11th October, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds went on a double date with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at The Corner Store in New York – a very fancy restaurant where a side portion of chips costs 12.00 (£9.20).
In August, Blake Lively was accused of namedropping Taylor Swift at any opportunity to boost her popularity during the It Ends With Us drama. To be fair, if I was besties with Taylor Swift, I wouldn’t let anyone forget it either.
She’s in a new movie with Anna Kendrick despite feud rumours

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are working on a sequel to their 2018 film A Simple Favour. The original film is a crime comedy. Anna Kendrick is a mommy blogger who investigates the disappearance of her friend, who’s played by Blake Lively.
There were loads of rumours back in 2017 that Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick hated working together, because Anna Kendrick supposedly made a snarky comment about Taylor Swift, and Blake Lively decided to be very offended on Taylor Swift’s behalf.
A crew member from A Simple Favour told The Celebrity Memoir Book Club podcast, “They hated each other. The studio even had to have a talk with them about making it look like they liked each other on press tours because it was starting to get obvious.
“Anna in particular was really competitive with Blake and was constantly asking to make sure she got more promotion than Blake and even made us photoshop her cleavage in the Simple Favor poster to be as big (or bigger) than Blake’s.”
They definitely didn’t seem keen on each other during the press tour for A Simple Favor.

I can’t wait to see what drama goes down with the sequel.
She and Ryan Reynolds donated money to Feeding America
Blake Lively and her husband, who have a combined net worth of $380 million (£291 million) gave $1 million (£766,350) to Feeding America’s relief fund to help support people affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Feeding America announced on 10th October that the couple gave this money. Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, Tom Brady and Metallica also donated money to this cause. Well, that’s very nice of them.
She celebrated two of her kids’ birthdays
Two of Blake Lively’s daughters have birthdays within a week of each other. Inez turned eight on 30th September, and Betty turned five on 4th October.

In August, Blake Lively revealed on BBC Radio 2 that she always makes her children birthday cakes “with a sense of humour”. For her one-year-old Olin, she baked a cake shaped like a massive pair of boobs. Our thoughts and prayers are with her kids on their birthdays. We hope Inez and Betty’s cakes were only PG-13 rated.
She might have been working on a sequel to It Ends With Us?
So, there is a sequel to Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us book. It Starts With Us focuses on the relationship between Lily and Atlas, and includes a really weird amount of Finding Nemo references. Justin Baldoni’s company Wayfarer Studios still has the film rights to It Starts With Us. In August, Justin Baldoni hinted that he might let Blake Lively direct a second It Ends With Us film instead. When Entertainment Tonight asked him about the sequel, he said, “I think there are better people for that one. I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct.”
According to Life & Style, Ryan Reynolds is trying to buy out Justin Baldoni’s stake in the It Ends With Us franchise, so he and Blake Lively could make a second film without Justin Baldoni. Watch this space for future drama.
