Omg Manchester students: You can get a 99p burger from Deliveroo

The burger is only available for a limited time

| UPDATED

Students in Manchester can currently get a 99p burger for a limited time from Deliveroo.

The Boost burger is the “ultimate freshers grub”, and has been released by Deliveroo to help fuel new university students through their first week of university.

Made up of a lean beef burger loaded with kimchi, cheddar cheese, gochujang cabbage and carrot slaw, and curly spring onions packed in a bright orange sweet potato bun, the Boost Burger has been created to include everything a fresher needs to survive those first weeks at uni.

Apparently half of freshers worry that they will not have enough energy to tackle their first week, and almost half (49 per cent) say a burger is their go-to-dish when they’re feeling run down. Because of that, the burger has been inspired by the dissolvable vitamin C tablets, and it is partnered with nutritionist Jenna Hope.

Jenna explained how the Boost Burger has been created to offer students the best chance at surviving Freshers’ Week and all the action that comes with it. She said: “Freshers’ Week is an exciting time for new students; however, with an action-packed two weeks on the cards, students are likely to experience fatigue, tiredness and, as a result, they’re at a greater risk of running themselves down.

“During Freshers’ Week, students should be looking to fuel themselves effectively with key nutrients which may be in short supply due to many late nights, back-to-back partying and lack of sleep.

“That’s why I’ve teamed up with Deliveroo Students to help create the Boost Burger – the ultimate Freshers’ Week “saver” –  which contains nutrient-packed ingredients1including protein to help supplement and aid busy students during Freshers’ activities.”

The burger is available for 99p when you sign up to Deliveroo Students, saving you 90 per cent off regular price.
