Three Bridges Durham is launching a student club night every Wednesday
£250,000 has been invested into the Durham pub that will become a student club on Wednesday nights
Three Bridges Durham is undergoing a £250,000 renovation this September, with plans in place to transform the venue into a nightclub setting with live music at night.
Three Bridges Durham will still be serving food from 9:30am until 9pm every day of the week and remains as a pub, but one that is able to adapt into a nightclub atmosphere.
Wednesday night is expected to be the primary student night – Three Bridges Durham have licensing that permits the sale of alcohol until 1:3oam, meaning that they can compete with conventional nightclubs where licensing ends just 30 minutes later at 2am.
Monday night will be quiz night, Thursday night will be live music night and Sunday will be an open mic night. Friday and Saturday nights are expected to run on the concept of “blending” – a combination of both live singers and DJ’s who will rotate and play a variety of music throughout the evening.
Entry to Three Bridges Durham remains free of charge and drink prices remain consistent: Doubles with mixer cost £4.50, while pints of Moretti cost £2.75 (£2.50 0n a Wednesday). Wednesday night will see a student discount which means that Three Bridges Durham will play host to one of the cheapest pints in the city.
Three Bridges Durham are looking to appeal to sports teams and societies on Wednesday nights, with a spokesperson telling The Tab: “One of our incentives is that when teams sign up with us, 25 pence of everything their members buy will go into a pot that they can use twice a year.
