Worst Ex Ever on Netflix: The crimes of Benjamin Foster and where he is now

The creators of Worst Roommate Ever on Netflix are back, this time with Worst Ex Ever, in which the first episode focuses around Benjamin Foster.

From chilling betrayals to murder plots, the new true-crime docu-series dissects the dark side of love and monstrous past relationships, through eyewitness testimonies.

The first episode of the series is titled Dating the Devil, and tells the story of Justine. A phone call she made to a friend lead to a shocking discovery and a huge police hunt for Ben, a recent partner with a terrible dating history. The show then tells the story of his horrible crimes, and how Benjamin Foster abused multiple women.

Who is Benjamin Foster from Netflix series Worst Ex Ever?

Benjamin Foster was a violent criminal who attacked multiple women, and left them with life-changing injuries. His abuse spanned over a decade, and now his exes have spoken out on the Netflix show. They have described how often their relationships at first seemed “normal” before Benjamin displayed a “jealousy streak” and things got “intense”.

One ex, Amber, spoke about one instance of his abuse. “[He] slapped me,” she said. “A pretty hard open-hand slap. He was in a blind rage, you could see it in his eyes.” According to Worst Ex Ever, Benjamin Foster was then ordered to attend domestic violence counselling and given community service. He later began stalking Amber, and went on to abuse more women.

Another ex, Jaimee, recalled how Benjamin had once told her: “No man will ever look at you or think you’re pretty.” She said she was held captive by Benjamin for 16 days, before she managed to escape and get treatment for injuries he had given her.

He then kidnapped and attacked another women, Justine, and held her captive in her home. He repeatedly violently abused her, and when he left, a police hunt began. Police found her badly beaten, tied up and close to death. Justine was left with traumatic brain damage and had to learn to walk again. Police at the time said Benjamin “tortured” his victims and “left them for dead”.

So, where is Benjamin Foster now?

Benjamin Foster died in February 2023. As stated by the Netflix doc, he died from a self inflicted-gunshot wound following an hour long standoff with authorities – who had been searching for him for a week.

As per Netflix, following Benjamin’s death, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department declined to be interviewed about him.
