Ever since Love Is Blind dropped its first ever UK season, we’ve all fallen head over heels for Freddie Powell. Our fav funeral director who is sweet and caring, and loves taking his top off… which helps.
Sorry, the show is all about finding deep and meaningful connections, but the memes about how much we all fancy Freddie are hard to ignore. Anyway, outside of the show he leads a very interesting life – from his choice of career, to his cute relationship with his family.

Freddie Powell is 32, and from Bolton. On Love Is Blind UK we’ve seen him get to know and propose to Cat, who was 29 at the time of filming. They have one of the smallest age gaps of the couples on the show this season, just three years.
He works as a funeral director
Freddie works as a funeral director, and has dressed up in his full gear for Cat whilst on the show. It’s clear Freddie is doing well from his work, as he spoke to Cat about his worries regarding letting someone he’s married to have half his cash, and the suggestion of a prenup was spoken about.
It’s not 100 per cent clear where Freddie works, but I did some hunting and in an Instagram post where he was talking about work, there appeared to be some paper on the desk with the Co-op logo in the corner. So, we could conclude from this that Freddie works at Co-operative funeral care, which does have a funeral directors in Bolton. The picture also had a mug with Mayfields Woodland on it, which is a burial ground that Southern Co-op uses.
Speaking of how his career affects his love life, Freddie said: “As a funeral director I am surrounded by death every day, which will scare people away. It has affected my dating. It limits how I can meet people.”

Ahead of Love Is Blind UK, Freddie said he was going on the show because previously people have only cared about how hot he is. It must be awful!
His Netflix bio says: “In the past, many have been quick to judge fitness enthusiast Freddie solely by his looks. But Freddie has fostered a deep sense of empathy, thanks to his career as a full-time funeral director and his tight bond with brother Jack, who has Down syndrome.
“As for love, Freddie goes all in, buying flowers, booking travel plans, and making dinner reservations for his partner. Unfortunately, his exes haven’t exactly appreciated his overt displays of affection, so he’s hoping to find someone who speaks his love language.”
Freddie has opened up about caring for his brother, and they’re really close
As his Netflix bio introduced, Freddie has opened up a lot about his close bond with his brother Jack, who has Down syndrome. It was an important moment on the show when Cat met his family for the first time, and it’s very clear Freddie and Jack are very close, with Freddie helping with his care.
“I look after him, you know? I’ve cared for him. But he’s made me the person that I am today. He’s everything. Everything,” Freddie said on the show. Jack is 37-years-old, and on Freddie’s Instagram there are loads of pictures of them hanging out at home together.
Freddie has worked as a butler in the buff, and was apparently on Real Housewives before Love Is Blind UK?!
Freddie has loved getting his body out on Love Is Blind UK, which he’s very much used to, because ahead of the show he worked as a butler in the buff! There are pictures of him in the role on his Instagram, and according to some viewers in a Facebook group, they recalled seeing him working in the buff on The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
His Instagram shows he’s a gym boy
Just one look on Freddie’s Instagram and you can tell what his interests are and what he does for fun. His posts show him constantly spending quality time with his family, as well as going to the gym and working out a lot. He loves a topless selfie (fair enough) and goes on nights out with friends a lot.
