Dumped Islanders say Love Island is forced to stage chats when it rains in the villa

Have you ever noticed that you never see it rain on Love Island? Dumped Islanders have revealed that Love Island descends into complete chaos when it rains in the villa, and the show is forced to become completely staged all because of the weather.

Every now and then you’ll see the decking in the villa looking wet, as though the weather has been bad, but we never actually see the Islanders hit by a rain storm. Now, dumped Islanders Jess and Hugo have revealed what happens when the weather is bad, and basically, the whole show becomes an orchestrated mess.

So it turns out the cameras all have to be put away when a single droplet of rain is in the forecast, which means no filming can take place. So to combat this, Love Island will have all the Islanders get back into the same clothes again the next day, and re-film all their chats, as though nothing ever happened. Wild?!

Talking with Closer Online about re-filming scenes and behind the scenes secrets, Hugo said: “When it rains, the cameras all get stopped. You have to put the same trunks on as you had the day before the next day, and re-film as if it’s that day.”

So, if we ever see rain on the decking again – know we’re being straight up lied to. The Islanders are all there pretending for the benefit of us at home that the chats they’re having are live and off the cuff, but they’ve probably had an entire night to sleep on what they were going to say.
