Timothy reveals he gave Lucinda ‘eight chances’ as she begs for forgiveness over MAFS feud

Oof, there’s been another very dramatic development in the MAFS Australia feud between former besties Lucinda and Timothy. Buckle in, because there’s been a lot said by both sides over the weekend. In case you’ve somehow missed everything that’s happened between them so far, the pair mysteriously unfollowed each other and Lucinda later revealed Timothy had blocked her, with him making constant cryptic TikToks about fake friendships. It’s giving petty.

Fast forward to now and Lucinda has finally released a full statement about what happened between them, clarifying that it’s the last she’ll speak on the matter. Meanwhile, Timothy has revealed he gave Lucinda “eight chances” to save their friendship after MAFS Australia ended but felt like she’d become too “different” as a person.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Timothy revealed that whilst he had hoped they would stay friends after the show finished, he noticed “Lucinda was a little different to who he had been married to during filming. The cameras do that to people. Lucinda may have buckled under the pressure with so many people wanting a piece of her.” He added that he “didn’t walk away easily” from their friendship, but felt like “eight chances was enough.”

He described how he didn’t want to become a “pawn” in untrue storylines, saying: “Hearing bits and pieces that were untrue, stuff that was twisted, that has been disappointing. I think some people, and I am not just saying Lucinda, but some people have let this spot of notoriety go to their head and I didn’t want to go down that path. The show is over, I had a good time but I really want to go back to my normal life and be me again without the lens of that TV show. People have become their characters and that is a dangerous path to go down. You can lose yourself.”

A close friend of Lucinda and Timothy revealed to Yahoo that ultimately their friendship ended after Timothy found out that Lucinda had been “gossiping” about him behind his back. They admitted: “Could it be more relatable? Friendship in the real world ends over disloyalty and no one likes to hear their best mate has been gossiping about them. Tim was hearing things that Lucinda was saying about him behind his back which kept on happening.” Yikes.

As for Lucinda, she properly broke her silence on the whole fiasco by relating a hefty statement about their friendship on Instagram. She wrote: “In regards to the comments and blocking Tim has done~Conscious, clear and kind communication would have been my preference. If I’d offended Tim, I would have loved a phone conversation toward resolve.

“A couple of times I’ve confided in other cast members about genuine processes I’ve had since the show and behaviours that have upset me. I’m sure I’m not alone in that, we all need to process and share. Going on a reality TV show has been a huge experience and in many ways, I’m still processing it. In my heart, I’ve always held Tim with understanding and compassion. I take responsibility for any hurt I may have caused by sharing my feelings and hurts. There are no hard feelings my end and I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship. Ho’oponopono ~ I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I Love You.”

“I appreciate the feedback from any cast members or anyone that feels I’ve upset Tim in any way, certainly not my intention. If Tim doesn’t know what I stand for from the months of hanging out then there’s nothing I can do about that. I only wish Tim all the love & success. This is the last I’ll say on this piece, I’ve said what I have to say. I want to get on with my life~ I’ve got lots of love to share and I believe Tim does too. Everyone’s just trying their best in this one precious life and I for one don’t want to spend my energy and time in war, with anyone.”

I can hardly keep up, but hopefully, they can both put their feud behind them now!
