Aus influencer Tammy Hembrow is asking for donations to her wedding despite $50m net worth
Tammy – who has featured on official rich lists twice – is marrying a Love Island Australia star later this year
Australian influencer Tammy Hembrow is being called out for asking for donations towards her upcoming wedding, despite having an estimated net worth of $50million. Yikes.
Tammy is set to marry Love Island Australia star Matt Zukowski in November this year, and the request for help towards funding it was revealed through the invitations to the event being leaked. It’s caused a bit of a stir, seeing as Tammy is a successful YouTuber, influencer and business founder, who has appeared on the Australian Financial Review’s annual Young Rich List twice.
The couple have said there will be a “wishing well” at the ceremony, where guests can leave money as a donation. It’s expected that there will be a few high net worth individuals at the event, too.
Instagram page @influencer.updates.au obtained a picture of the leaked invite, and it read: “Your presence on our day is the greatest gift of all. However, if you would like to gift us something, a wishing well will be at our wedding for your contribution and well wishes.”
The account holder who posted the picture said: “The wishing well surprised me. I didn’t know mega rich people would request money.”

Tammy Hembrow appeared on the Australian Financial Review’s Young Rich List this year at number 94, with a $50million net worth. She currently lives in a Gold Coast mansion, which is reportedly worth around $3million.
As well as the request for money, the couple have said on the invites no children will be allowed at the event, despite Tammy being a mother of three young children herself.
“Whilst we love your babies, our wedding will be child free,” the invitation read. “Babysitting can be arranged upon request. Bubs are more than welcome to join us at the recovery party on Sunday.”
The invite has also been shared to Reddit, and people are *not* happy about it. “I think it’s kinda gross they’re having a wishing well given how wealthy Tammy is,” one person said. “Actually not kinda gross, VERY.” Someone else added: “Given how wealthy a lot of influencers are, it’s tacky she’s asking for money as a gift.”
