Love Island 2024 bombshell Uma is 23 and from North London

Uma is 23 and from North London. Right now, she works as a VIP hostess and model.

Uma has been single all her life, and when asked why she wants to be on Love Island 2024, she said: “Now is a good time for me, I’m young. I’ve been single for my whole life, it’s about time I’m not single anymore. I’m ready for a boyfriend!”

When asked why she’s single, Uma added: “I feel like I’ve been so unlucky in love! It’s all been underwhelming so far. I don’t know what the reason is, I think it’s them, as it can’t be me!”

Uma already knows fellow Love Island 2024 cast member Ronnie… very well

It turns out Uma knows Ronnie pretty well. Speaking candidly in the Beach Hut on the show, he admits: “During the tour of the villa, I was like ‘I recognise you’ but I can’t work it out and she was like ‘Do you remember the night?’ and I was like ‘Oh, yeah’.”

So, what about “the night” then? Well as it goes, during the Euros four years ago, the pair of them met on a night out at Ballie Ballerson, and kissed!

‘When people first see me they think I’m going to be horrible’

Uma said she thinks people judge her early on, but that she will bring good vibes to Love Island 2024. “All of my friends like to say that I like to have fun and make everyone else have fun too. I’ll bring a positive vibe and happiness!,” she said.

Uma added: “When people first see me, they usually think I’m going to be horrible, they are always surprised when I’m not! I’ll bring confidence, and I like to think I’m funny. I’m gonna be the funniest girl in the villa!” She also described herself as “fun, vibey and caring.”

Uma wants someone who is confident

Uma said she is looking for someone who can make her laugh, who has similar values to her, and someone who is confident and likes to have fun. She said her celeb crushes are Theo James, F1 driver Lando Norris and Keith Lemon. Um, sure?

She’s friends with previous Islander Samie Elishi

Uma is friends with season nine’s Samie Elishi, who gave the bombshell game away a little by posting about one of her friends being in the Love Island cast this year. “One of my friends is going on this year super F**KIN excited for her!!!! You’re all gonna love her,” Samie said.
