A look inside Brad’s spiritual life when he’s not talking about the universe on MAFS UK
I wonder if the universe told him to apply for MAFS too?
Married At First Sight UK is in full swing, and we’ve quickly gotten to know all the brides and grooms – especially Brad. We’ve seen a lot of his and Shona’s relationship recently; some may say they’re the new Porshca and Terence.
Right away he projected himself as a lover of all things spiritual, recently turning away from his party lifestyle in the search for life’s deeper meaning. We know he jumps head first into love, but while he adopts a mysterious persona, there’s more than what meets the eye when it comes to his life outside the show. Whilst I didn’t peg him as a lover of crystals at the start of the show, he literally couldn’t be more mystic Michael if he tried. And of course, the news of him being kicked off the show has us all on edge for his appearance in the this week’s episodes.
So, is the life Brad portrays on Married at First Sight really what he’s like off-camera? Here’s what he gets up to, when he’s not on MAFS.

Brad Skelly is 28 years old and works as a model, previously working for brands including JD Sports and ASOS, according to his LinkedIn. Brad also lists himself as a self employed business owner, but for what business this actually might be is unknown. And as we can tell from his Instagram, the spiritual guru equally loves a selfie.
His birthday is 9th October, which happens to be today, making him a Libra.

Practicing spirituality by meditation, Brad does a lot of healing work with crystals and previously said that he’s “tuned in and connected”. He previously said that meditation helped him accept his path and who he is as a person and that spirituality has changed his outlook on love and who he goes for. Now instead of physical attraction, Brad said he now considers connection the most important factor in a relationship.
We’ve seen on the show how he likes to refer to the universe, most recently when talking to Shona last night where he said “nothing’s more than the universe to me”, not even his significant other. I’m not really sure what that means, but ok.
He’s a believer in energies, saying that he listens to the universe when energies clash and takes it as a sign that things weren’t meant to be because “that’s the way the universe works”.
Brad also believes that people only fall in love three times, so hopefully Shona wasn’t the third.
He’s a fan of nature
Fitting hand in hand with being a meditation leader, Brad has a series of vibey nature pictures on his Instagram, including but not limited to a video of some wild long grasses blowing in the wind. He likes the finer details, with photos of bees, ivy and other edgy shots of green stuff which I must admit, are very relaxing.
Also on his Instagram, he even posted a photo of a book he’d annotated parts of. So we know he’s a deep thinker. So cool, dude.
Brad has a nine-year-old son named Keegan

Brad is father to nine-year-old Keegan, who he co-parents with his ex-girlfriend. Fans watching Brad and Shona’s wedding episode saw Brad speak about having his son when he was just turning 18. He spoke of how the situation was tricky for him, being so young and having to take on responsibility, but describes Keegan as his “best friend” and “the light of [his] life”.
He was previously addicted to steroids and other substances

In his opening episode of MAFS UK, Brad revealed how his teenage years were tough, being addicted to steroids and other substances. He recalls drinking and partying all the time and wasn’t happy with who he was back then.
He now credits spirituality and meditation as what turned his life around.
He’s close with his family and friends

Raised by his mum and sister, Brad said his upbringing impacted the respect he has for women. He previously outlined how all of his family and friends are from Grimsby and that family is really important to him, having a strong support system within them.
Married at First Sight isn’t the first time Brad has been on reality TV
Brad has previously been on Celebs Go Dating, where he went out with Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby. He appeared on the show in 2016 when he was just 20-years-old, and looks wildly different to his bad boy appearance now.
But since his MAFS UK appearance, fans also realised they’d seen Brad on ITV 2’s Dress To Impress. He’s pretty much a reality TV veteran at this point, as well as a certified crystal girlie obviously.
MAFS UK 2023 continues tonight on E4. For more like this inside Married At First Sight Brad’s life, like The Holy Church of MAFS on Facebook.
