Bomb found in Riverside Park, near Wessex Lane
Police and a bomb disposal squad were called to the scene
Early this afternoon, a bomb was found in the River Itchen at Riverside Park.
According to the Daily Echo, police and a bomb disposal unit were called to the scene at around 1:30 this afternoon.
Parts of Riverside Park, as well as Woodmill Lane (by Wessex Lane) was shut for two hours as a precaution, and traffic was directed away from the area.
