The Tab Hull regrets to inform you the eyes on the campus statues, which only 12 hours ago captured students' hearts, are no more.
As the Tab Hull reported on Facebook yesterday, a mystery vandal stuck googly eyes onto the campus statues, a move we could only possibly attribute to Banksy himself.
The statues naturally prompted memes on social media, with one Facebook user describing the facial expressions as "big moods".
However just 12 hours after they appeared, the Tab Hull was informed the eyes are gone, and with their loss we must mourn the passing of our new friends.
In troubled global times, our new iron buddies brought students together and we're not sure how we will carry on.
In all seriousness though, a tenner for anyone who gets googly eyes on the one on the wall of the library.
