Mercy and Flaunt are facing potential closure

According to reports from Eastern Daily Press, Code Red promotions have appointed provisional liquidators, which could mean potential closures for the likes of Mercy, Flaunt, Lace and Rocco's.
Liquidations usually occur when a company can no longer pay its obligations, although it is not yet clear whether this was a voluntary or a forced event.
Reports of Mercy being closed over the weekend sparked comments and debates about the future of a club which has been a staple of student nightlife since it opened in 2003.
Just a reminder that this week’s FUSE party at Mercy XS in Norwich is cancelled as the Club are unable to host.

Mercy has remained active on its social media accounts, and promoting future events, yet it is currently unknown whether the club will be remaining open.
Norwich City Council spokesperson has commented that "on application of the council to the High Court, the proceedings had started and discussions were ongoing."
The four clubs owned by Code Red promotions make up a large stretch of the Prince of Wales road, and their current future is unknown.
Will this leave students without a Friday night destination? Or will it simply mean more traffic for the other hot spots?
