A list of the best study spots in St Andrews

It's coming up to Independent Learning Week (ILW) again, deadlines are fast approaching and the library is filling up. However, do not panic! Your friendly tab writer here has done the hard work for you and has scouted out some of the best alternative study places in town for your reference in case you just can't face the library…

Costa Coffee

Open: 6:30am – 7pm weekdays, 7am – 7pm Saturdays and 8am – 6pm Sundays

Starbucks

Open: 5:45am – 9pm daily

Taste

Open: 7am – 10pm daily

King James Library

Open: 9am – 7:45pm weekdays (closed on weekends)

JF Allen Library

Open: 8am – 5:45 weekdays (closed on weekends)

(authorised card-holders have access until 8:30pm)

And a bonus: if you ever need to continue studying after 2am, the Butts Wynd and Bute computer labs are open 24 hours and is situated just across from the entrance to the main library! (If you're accessing it between 5pm and 8:30am (5:30pm for Butts Wynd) you have to enter via the door facing the library main entrance and north side entrance respectively and need to swipe in with your matric card.)
