Police were called to a shooting in Withington last night
It happened around 11:20pm
Officers at Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that they responded to reports of a man being shot in Withington last night.
Yew Tree Road and Pickmere Avenue remain closed.
No one has been arrested yet and it has been confirmed there were no fatalities, but there is no word yet on any injuries.
Police are appealing for information. Anybody with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2393 of 24/07/17, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
