Arrest made following evacuation of the Arndale Centre
The Arndale Centre was evacuated
At 11:26am today an urgent evacuation took place at the Arndale Centre.
There were reports of armed police arresting a man, whilst staff evacuated the centre.

There have been reports of a parcel found in the food court, prior to the arrest.

Greater Manchester Police are yet to issue a statement, although Manchester Evening News were quick to assert that the evacuation wasn’t connected to last night’s attack.
The Arndale evacuation is UNCONNECTED to the Manchester terror attack but there have been other arrests across Manchester.
