The wind is officially the worst thing about Loughborough

Last week, we asked you to vote over what was the worst thing about Lufbra, and the wind came first, with the Exec song narrowly missing first place by 2.51 per cent.

You voted in your hundreds, and decided that the wind has to be crowned as the shittest thing about our East Midlands town. Securing 18.33 per cent of the vote against eight other categories, students decided that they were fed up with being blown half way across the country by Hurricane Luff.

Lufbra is notorious for being windy. What other uni’s have a wind turbine on campus so they can measure the speed of the wind? That’s all we care about here.

We asked Josh, an Information Business Management Finalist, what he thought on the wind’s win. He said: “No wonder it won, that turbine haunts our dreams”. It sure does. We’ve all had Final Destination-esque dreams over it spiralling into our necks.

Coming in last place, with a small 7.1 per cent of the votes, was the nightlife, which is no surprise seeming that Lufbra uni has won Best Student Experience for the past six years.
