Wine Society lands ‘Life is Toff’ estate for ‘one fucking good party’
We’re going to be dining with the bloody Fulfords
Exeter Wine Society is set to host its annual rah event at the poshest venue of them all – the Fulford Estate from the BBC3 documentary “Life is Toff”.
The Fulfords are known for their soundtrack of swearing and their ridiculously huge estate that they’re not quite sure what to do with. If you thought Exeter was posh, think again as this very close castle-esque location is the rah’s breeding ground.

El vino shall flow
Committee member Theo Backhouse said: “If EGB and the Royal Family had a baby, that would be our event”.
Clan chief Francis sent the society a video message to confirm their invitation.

The estate was given to the family as a gift by King Richard I, the house and its residents have provided parties for over 800 years.
A few members of the Fulford Family are likely to be attending the party on 1st July. There will be a full hog roast, Pimm’s, Martin McGahey tobacco sponsors and cheese to take advantage of.

When asked how they convinced the famous family to share their estate for an evening, Vice President of WineSoc Claire Soeting told us: “I phoned him up and turns out he loves squashed grapes, so he very much wanted to party.”
Rumour has it ex-committee member Arthur is coming back in full force, sponsoring the event with his LIVO energy drinks to ensure the hangover isn’t too permanent.

If you’re looking for an event based around the classy taste of wine, well-articulated conversations about the décor of the venue or a chilled night out – this is not it. Notorious for their copious amount of wine consuming, be assured this is not for the faint hearted.
Will Pearson said: “It will be the most civilised form of debauchery you may ever experience.”
